About the Boston Fitness Freak

I love the gym – I love the feeling of getting stronger, and being able to exert myself physically.  I think one of the most motivating factors to work out is a great class.  While I have my favorite “I can’t miss this!” classes (the ones I will most certainly schedule my life around), I also enjoy trying new classes.  I feel like the best instructors help their students not just to work to their capacity, but to refine the “little things” about certain movements, and push them beyond what they think they’re capable of.

I’m lucky to be able to learn from some of the best teachers out there on a regular basis, and have access to some of the best classes in the city through (gulp) two memberships.  Since I think that mixing up workouts helps keep working out fun, I have been known to trek to other gyms/studios to try a class I’ve heard great things about.

Fitness is not my job, it’s my hobby.  I work full-time in Sales, and exercise is a great outlet for me to relieve my stress.  A lot of people wonder how I have time to go to all these classes – I guess the simple answer is, I make time.  The gym is my “me” time, and I take that seriously.

I hope this blog will serve as a resource and motivational tool for other people who either enjoy working out and taking great classes, or who want to try something new.  If you ever want to get in touch with me, I can be reached at bostonfitnessfreak@yahoo.com.
